Moderate Hikes

Beacon Hill Trail via Neil Snipes Park – Norco, CA

Located about 10 minutes from Pumpkin Rock Trail and Pikes Peak Park, this short loop trail at Beacon Hill is another great stop to make while you are here in Norco!

A quick summary of Beacon Hill Trail

Beacon Hill Trail is a short hike that gives you a 360 view of Norco, California. This loop trail begins at Neil Snipes Park and takes you to the top of Beacon hill. If you are lucky enough to go when the sun is beginning to set, you will have some lovely views of the surrounding area glowing from the setting sun. The trail itself is easy to follow but if you have trouble finding it at first, here is a map outlining the path for you.

I wish I had taken more photos of this hike, but I was enjoying the moment and being present with my kiddos. That just means I will have to get more photos the next time we go!

There are some scrambling up rocks to reach the very top of Beacon Hill but is nothing too difficult. The path is all up hill and is mostly paved. I would not recommend taking a stroller due to the incline. The trail at the very top does become too rough for wheels, so it’s best to forego the stroller.

Our Thoughts

We enjoyed this hike especially for the views at the top. It was worth driving out to Norco for the day to hike Beacon Hill and Pumpkin Rock. Pikes Peak Park and Neil Snipes Park were a bonus and worth spending the day to visit all these places that are nearby each other. I personally love Dutch Bros coffee and that will always be a good enough excuse to head to Norco for the day. I get my treat and the family gets a fun adventure!
